Sports injury
It is well known that sport and exercise have health benefits.
Unfortunately, we can sometimes get injuries which cause us pain and prevent us participating in sport. Injuries can happen for a number of reasons from not warming up properly, pushing yourself too far, having a poor training programme to injury as a result of a knock/tackle or fall.
Sports injuries can affect the muscles, joints, tendons and ligaments.
At the practice we commonly treat injuries such as shoulder pain, tennis or golfer’s elbow, twisted/sprained ankles and knee pain.
We can treat your injury getting you back to full function quicker and provide you with exercise and advice on how to reduce your chance of being injured again.
Treatment can include electrotherapy (eg. ultrasound), strapping, massage, exercises, and analysing the way you walk or the way you perform your particular sporting activity. This may be cycling, running or even archery.
